Medisoft UpgradesTypically, Medisoft releases an upgrade of the Medisoft lineup each year. Each new release greatly enhances functionality. For example, the version 14 upgrade brings us the a new "Patient Quick Entry" screen, the Administrative Dashboard, and Scheduled File Maintenance features. Medisoft now is UB-04 capable, which makes it ideal for hospice, nursing home, and rural health environments.To enable clinics to more easily stay current with their Medisoft software, a new pricing structure was put in place this year. Effective with version 14, the software pricing for the Medisoft Network Professional product are as follows:
Thus, if you upgrade from Version 12 to Version 14 (there is no version 13), the software cost is only $779; however, if you wait until the next version is released, you will be faced with a much higher price for the upgrade the following year. In the meantime you're missing out on exciting new features and functionality. Realistically, in the changing claims environment, an upgrade every second year is likely to be required.
